| Description:
Japanese
developers Able and Milestone presented their newest 2D shoot 'em up "Chaos
Field" at the AOU in Tokyo. This game runs on a Sega Naomi board
(which architecture is very close to a Dreamcast) and will come to Japanese
arcades in spring 2004.
Chaos Field,
taken from a game watch report on the AOU show. The game has three buttons,
main shot, slash attack (up to three times simultaneously - kills some
bullets, and has high attack power/limited range) and field change. The
field change is gauge-dependent, and can shift you from the order field
(fewer enemies, more items) to the chaos field (more enemies, more bullets,
fewer items) and back. The gauge takes 15 seconds to recharge, as when
you change fields, bullets disappear, and the player becomes invincible
for a time.
